FAQ: Navigating your way around the global village...
One of the great features of WorkLife Essentials is the ability to have ready access to common resources around the globe. While it is likely you will want to access these resources in your home country, you may have relatives or employees needing information in the context of where they work or live.To facilitate cultural acceptance, 40 countries have now been acculturated, or in other words adapted for the broader cultural norms in those countries. Clearly, all countries have a great deal of cultural diversity within, so we gladly accept all suggestions for improving this ongoing process via the WLE suggestion box.
In addition, many global village sites have much of the content idiomatically translated. In those cases the area on the left of the WLE page immediately above the images bar will indicate the additional language for that village. You can move easily between languages by clicking on the word for the language. All villages, whether translated or not, have the support of Google Translate which is a menu selection just below the search box.
Choosing from more than 100 countries, some of which are acculturated and some of which are translated idiomatically is the topic of this small instruction. The first entries from the top of the menu bar are for acculturated villages in alphabetical order. If a village is translated, the menu entry is in the translated language. If you do not see a country you are looking for in the acculturated list, the next section of the menu is for those villages which have not been acculturated. Simply scroll down and select your village of interest and then click "Go". If you want to have this be your new Home village, select the Remember box.
